About Us

Jack Guren Jack Guren is hanging up his tool belt after 37 years in the remodeling industry to join John Knox in this new adventure, Ambiente Design Center. As a contractor, he has spent decades selecting and acquiring kitchen and bath products always with an eye for quality service. Early in his remodeling career, he turned a 60'-high train tower into a luxury home that Tom Brokaw brought to the Today Show. And since then has been featured on the cover of Colorado Homes and Lifestyles twice as well as in Architectural Digest for a $5 million dollar master suite he built in Beverly Hills. He began his work in Boulder and Denver, but also left his mark all over New England, Beverly Hills, Santa Cruz, and Hawaii, and became familiar with a wide variety of styles and designs. Locally, Jack worked with the owner of Chipotle to design and build the first store, many details of which are still used in all the restaurants nationwide. He had the pleasure of working from the incubation process to building and fine-tuning Frasca Food and Wine. In various locations in Colorado, as well as Moab, Utah, he built and helped design Pasta Jay's restaurants, resulting in a 20 year relationship with Jay Elowski. He brings his love of finding new products and solving problems to Ambiente Design Center.

John Knox John Knox has been in the decorative plumbing and hardware business for more than twenty years. John created Boulder's first complete design center and managed it for seventeen years. Ambiente will be John's 6th showroom design. This design will be geared to the professional specifiers in the community. John and Jack are committed to providing the best service possible to the local professionals.
